Composition of solar power supply system

Dec 06, 2024

The solar power generation system consists of solar cell group, solar controller and battery (group). If the output power is AC 220V or 110V and needs to be complementary to the mains, an inverter and a mains intelligent switcher are also required.

1. Solar cell array, i.e. solar panel
This is the core part of the solar photovoltaic power generation system. Its main function is to convert solar photons into electrical energy, thereby driving the load to work. Solar cells are divided into monocrystalline silicon solar cells, polycrystalline silicon solar cells and amorphous silicon solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon cells are the most commonly used batteries because they are more durable, have a longer service life (generally up to 20 years) and high photoelectric conversion efficiency than the other two types.

2. Solar charge controller
Its main job is to control the state of the entire system and protect the battery from overcharging and overdischarging. In places with particularly low temperatures, it also has a temperature compensation function.

3. Solar deep cycle battery pack
As the name suggests, batteries store electricity. They mainly store the electrical energy converted from solar panels. They are generally lead-acid batteries and can be recycled many times.

In the full monitoring system. Some equipment requires 220V, 110V AC power supply, while the direct output of solar energy is generally 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC. Therefore, in order to provide power for 22VAC, 110VDC equipment, a DC/AC inverter must be added to the system to convert the DC power generated in the solar photovoltaic power generation system into AC power.
