What are the solar photovoltaic power generation systems available

Jun 18, 2024

The solar power generation system consists of solar panels, solar controllers, and batteries. If the output power supply is AC 220V or 110V and needs to be complementary to the mains power, an inverter and a mains power intelligent switch need to be configured.

1. Solar cell array, also known as solar panels
This is the most core part of the solar photovoltaic power generation system, and its main function is to convert solar photons into electrical energy, thereby driving the load to work. Solar cells are divided into monocrystalline silicon solar cells, polycrystalline silicon solar cells, and amorphous silicon solar cells. Due to its durability, long service life (usually up to 20 years), and high photoelectric conversion efficiency compared to the other two types, monocrystalline silicon batteries have become the most commonly used batteries.

2. Solar charging controller
Its main job is to control the state of the entire system and protect the battery from overcharging and discharging. In areas with particularly low temperatures, it also has a temperature compensation function.

3. Solar deep cycle battery pack
As the name suggests, a battery is a type of energy storage device that primarily stores the energy converted from solar panels. It is typically a lead-acid battery and can be reused multiple times.

In the entire monitoring system, some devices require 220V and 110V AC power supply, while the direct output of solar energy is generally 12VDc, 24VDc, and 48VDc. So in order to provide power to devices with 22VAC and 11OVAC, it is necessary to add DC/AC inverters in the system to convert the DC energy generated in the solar photovoltaic power generation system into AC energy.
